Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is a form of talking therapy that can help you manage your problems by changing the way you think and behave. It is demonstrated to be most effective in working with anxiety disorders and depression.
-
Clients receive pure CBT and can be assured that while therapy provision is under-regulated, they are receiving CBT in its purest form, provided in the way it is intended to be used. A consequence of this is that I do not offer other forms of therapy such as psychodynamic, humanistic or integrative therapy which may be better suited to some people and/or particular problems. I use CBT and Schema therapy techniques depending on the presenting problems.
I can discuss this with you during an assessment. If either of us feel that you would benefit from a different form of therapy, I will give you guidance on where to access this.
